Display refresh causes browser nearly hang

During first page load or during any ajax action or http request that requires change in page display/layout causes browser (tested in Opera 9.5 (latest snapshot) and Firefox 2.0.0.12) to nearly hang. It causes 100% use of one core of my C2D proc. for the action time. You can even see some slowdown when scrolling a page!!

I have experienced such behaviour before (i'm a web developer) when playing with css transparency etc. Especially if you apply it to body or container div

I have switched to svn rev 41 today from something around 34 or 35 (can't remember) in which such behaiour was not spotted.

This problem is probably caused because of the fade-in/fade-out effects of the tooltips added recently. I will disable the effect, or maybe add an option to enable/disable tooltips. Also the use of shadedborders adds a lot of divs to the page, making it quite crappy. I will rewrite the frontend some time soon, so it's more "light", sorry for the trouble.

yes, i think the more simple it becomes the better. I don't really think people need any fancy gui enhancement. IMHO more important are features that extend WT functionality

I'm currently rewriting some parts of the php code, to make it more easy for developers (I'm planning to add some kind of plugin like support in the future). After that and a few more features I should fix this visualization problems.
